Renewable energy installation in Poland

Priorities of Instytut Reform

The two main fields of our research are related to enhancing capabilities of developing efficient policies and practical assistance in making the switch to a climate-neutral economy.

Two fields that reinforce each other

Our two main fields of activity are interdependent in the sense that good policies facilitate change, whereas practical experience improves policy.

Better Governance

Working towards the transition of traditional public management into a contemporary and data-driven process. We aim to see that the policies are data-driven, deliberative, and effective.

Stakeholder dialogue

Working together with government agencies, companies, NGOs, and people in order to reach agreement and include different viewpoints in public policies.

Policy evaluation

Assessing the efficiency of public interventions in terms of economics, society, and environment to find out what kinds of intervention strategies work and which need improvement.

Strategies and plans

Supporting the development of long-term strategies that bring economic, social, and environmental goals together in a practical and coherent way.

Climate-Neutral Economy

Developing the substance and societal basis for a shift to a climate-neutral economy. We operate in many sectors to make sure that the shift is bold, fair, and economically viable.

Clean electrification

Supporting the shift from fossil fuels to electricity for heating, transport, and industrial applications, with renewable energy playing a key role in the transition.

Clean industry

Designing policies and strategies for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from Polish industry without compromising on competitiveness and job opportunities.

Just and inclusive transformation

Making sure that policies on climate and energy protect communities who are susceptible to fossil fuel dependency and no one gets left behind during the shift.

Climate transformation management

Short-term actions which support strategic change management in order to ensure consistent and predictable change.

Zero-emission buildings

Facilitating the creation of zero-carbon buildings using innovative heating systems and energy-efficient criteria.

See how these priorities become projects

From national initiatives to EU-funded research partnerships, our projects put these two pillars into practice.
